HVA Middle School Plan (Grades 6-8)

 

HVA encourages the inquisitiveness and pioneering nature of middle school eagles with a best fit beginning program that is sure to help middle school soar:

  • Academic Access
    Michigan Virtual University Middle School Grade Level - with the option to accelerate in individual content areas to meet your students needs and interests.
  • Online Learning
    Six classes including all core classes satisfying Michigan Merit Curriculum with highly qualified, offsite, Michigan certified educators
  • Face-to-Face Support
    Opportunities for students to receive help during computer labs with HCS teachers
  • Mentor
    Every student is assigned an HCS mentor. Coaches help students focus and prioritize. They may provide redirection or challenge, and they will always motivate and support students. Coaches help with the accountability piece that can sometimes be overlooked in online learning

    Twenty-first century learning needs twenty-first century technology and HVA amazing facilities available to all students
 
  • Dynamic Counseling
    It is never too early to start planning for your future.  Students begin building EDP plans, explore social-emotional development topics along with Challenge Day participation
 
  • Club and Sport Opportunities
    Build E.A.G.L.E. character along with volunteerism, leadership, community caring and more with the new programs that developing for this age group. (Subject to enrollment).
 
  • Student Social Events
    Middle school students can participate with Ore Creek athletic teams and social events.

HVA High School Plan (Grades 9-12)

 

HVA celebrates student autonomy with a best fit program for online learners that gives freedom over time, place and/or pace that the student completes the curriculum:

  • Academic Access
    Michigan Virtual University expansive catalog of courses including all core classes and opportunies for Advanced Placement, Dual-Enrollment and Blended Learning
  • Online Learning
    Six class schedules including all core classes satisfying Michigan Merit Curriculum with highly qualified, offsite, Michigan certified educators
  • Face-to-Face Support
    Daily opportunities for students to receive help during computer lab time from HCS teachers
  • Mentor

    From applications to intership and FASFAs to TIPS navagiating the college admissions process or vocational trades applications can be difficult; however, students always have guidance
 
  • Club and Sport Opportunities
    Build E.A.G.L.E. character along with college and work resumes through involvement in volunteerism, leadership, vocational skills, etc
 
  • Student Social Events
    Athletic contests, homecoming, prom and so much more connect the virtual students to other Eagles and exciting high school experiences
