Housed throughout the halls of the Hartland Educational Support Services Center (HESSC), LEGACY enjoys the central location and the collaborative connections our community building creates.

LEGACY boasts a fully accredited curriculum aligned with local, state, and federal standards and benchmarks.

The school also prepares students for the Michigan Merit Exam (MME). Freshmen prepare with the PSAT 9, sophomore continue to build skills with the PSAT 10 and juniors participate with the three pronged testing gamete, SAT, M-Step and Work Keys.
Staff are not only highly qualified in their subject matters, but success is possible at LEGACY because of their attentive, nurturing, and inventive teaching skills.

Through their daily guidance, students connect to school and personal educational goals. The safe learning environment that staff helps to create ensures all students learn and grow; lifetime dreams become obtainable aspirations.
Students enter this program through an interview process to gain insight into the issues that have made it difficult to be successful in the traditional school setting.

The program provides a smaller, more supportive environment with a great deal of structure.  Many students find this more compatible with their needs.
